Good for BEXCO, With a Few Trade-Offs
I recently spent a full week at Centum Premier Hotel in Busan, on the south east of South Korea and I would like to share my impressions for future travelers considering this option.
I got a good deal on Agoda but you can also find interesting offers on Booking.com, Trip.com or TripAdvisor.

Convenient Location for BEXCO and Shopping
The hotel’s biggest strength is its location, just a short two-minute walk to BEXCO (Busan Exhibition and Convention Center), making it a very convenient option if you’re attending an event or conference there. It’s also close to Shinsegae Centum City, the world’s largest department store, which features an impressive range of high-end and luxury boutiques. Whether you’re shopping for global designer labels or just browsing, it’s an attraction in itself.
It takes about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport, depending on traffic.
Nearby Amenities and Dining Options
Right outside the hotel entrance, there’s a GS25 convenience store, perfect for snacks, drinks, and daily essentials. The area is surrounded by plenty of local restaurants, giving you a good variety of dining options within walking distance. There’s also a small, peaceful park nearby that’s great for a morning walk or just stretching your legs after a long day.
Shared Building with Another Hotel
One point of confusion for many guests, including myself, is that the building actually houses two separate hotels: Centum Premier Hotel and Centum Business Hotel. They share the same structure, and rooms are mixed across the floors. Each hotel has its own front desk, which can make check-in a little more confusing than expected, something to be aware of if you’re arriving tired or in a hurry.

Room Comfort and Limitations
The room I stayed in, a Superior Twin, was modern and clean but very compact. There was barely enough space to open a suitcase, and the desk was so cramped it was usable for work, didn’t have any chair and my luggage couldn’t even fit on it. While the essentials were there (comfortable beds, daily bottled water, small fridge, kettle, electric toilet, good shower), the overall comfort level felt limited, especially for a longer stay or for anyone who needs to work from the room.

Useful Amenities: Gym, Laundry, and Breakfast
On the plus side, the hotel offers a surprisingly well-equipped gym located in the other building on the 12th floor, along with a laundry room that’s great for longer stays. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a decent mix of Asian and Western options, and I found it to be a solid start to each day.
The breakfast location is also confusing, it’s served on the 2nd floor for Centum Premier Hotel guests and on the 3rd floor for Centum Business Hotel guests.
Easy Access to Haeundae Beach and Nightlife
If you’re in the mood to explore, Haeundae Beach is just a 10 to 15-minute taxi ride away. It’s one of Busan’s most famous coastal areas, great for a walk on the beach, visiting during events like the Haeundae Sand Festival, or enjoying the atmosphere of Gunam-ro Street, a lively pedestrian area filled with bars, cafes, and restaurants that really comes alive at night.

Final Thoughts
All in all, Centum Premier Hotel is a practical and well-located choice if your main goal is attending something at BEXCO. It’s not perfect, especially in terms of room space and layout, but the convenience, solid amenities, and nice surrounding area make it a worthwhile option for business travelers or event-goers.
