Convenient and Comfortable Stay in Jurong district, Singapore
Genting Hotel Jurong is a solid choice for travelers looking to stay in the west of Singapore, especially if you’re visiting Jurong East or heading to Sentosa or Resorts World using their free shuttle service.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from Jurong East MRT station, Westgate, Jem, and JCube shopping malls. It’s also close to Jurong Lake Gardens, great for a peaceful morning walk.
From Changi International Airport, it takes about 20-25 minutes by taxi and it will cost about 33 SGD ( about 23 € or 26 USD).
Genting Hotel Jurong has excellent reviews on Agoda, Booking.com and TripAdvisor.
The hotel has a 24-hour reception and is very effective. You can contact them before arriving, they answer fast.
The Room
I booked a Superior Double Room which was small but clean, modern, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and basic amenities like a mini fridge, safe, and kettle, coffee and tea facilities were included. Some rooms offer views of the greenery or skyline.
Inside the room there is an individual air conditioning and a « Do Not Disturb » switch for the front door display.
The bathroom was very small but modern with free amenities.
The hotel is eco-friendly, in the room there were 2 empty cans that you can go to refill free of charge at the water and ice depot set in the corridor. There is one per floor.
On my floor there was a small terrace but I don’t know if all floor have their own.
There’s an outdoor pool and a fitness center but I didn’t”t have time to visit them.
The Lobby
The lobby area is big, bright and stylish, with helpful staff and smooth check-in/out service and 2 big vending machines for drinks, snacks and hygiene products between the reception and the restaurant.
There are some art statues a bit everywhere inside and outside the hotel as well as big conference rooms.
The Breakfast
The breakfast buffet was served at the restaurant near the reception and it had a large choice of Western and Asian food. Coffee machines, egg station to get the morning eggs you want, fresh fruits, juices,… it”s more than enough.
This hotel is more business-oriented and ideal for short stays or transit, especially if you’re planning to head to Sentosa later using their free shuttle to Resorts World. I appreciated its calm location, surrounded by greenery, as well as the charming and colourful statues both inside and outside the property, which added a cheerful and welcoming touch to the atmosphere.

What’s Around?
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Jurong East MRT station. There are several shopping malls within a 15-minute walk, but you can also easily order a taxi from the reception or use Grab if you have the app.
If you’re planning to visit downtown Singapore or Marina Bay Sands, both the MRT and a taxi will get you there in roughly 20 minutes.
Don’t miss the evening light and music show at Marina Bay, it’s a stunning experience and a must-see when in Singapore.
Final Verdict
Overall, Genting Hotel Jurong offers good value, a convenient location, and a comfortable stay. I’d stay here again for a quick visit to the Jurong area or as a base before heading to Sentosa.
