During my recent trip to the Gujarat state in northwest India, I spent a few nights at Rajwadu The Village Hotel, also known as RTV Hotel, in Jamnagar.
I originally found this hotel on Booking.com, but you can also find good deals on Agoda. It got lots of good reviews.
Location & Access
RTV Hotel is located on Dwarka Highway, about 5 km from Jamnagar Airport or 130 km from Rajkot International Airport. I read that the hotel offers an airport shuttle service from Jamnagar Airport, but I didn’t try check, so I can’t confirm.
The hotel features a large, free parking area, which is very convenient for self-driving travelers or tour buses.
It’s along the highway which has a lot of traffic and there is nothing much to see or walk around the hotel.
Accommodation & Facilities
I booked a Deluxe Double Room, and it exceeded expectations: spacious, modern, clean, with a charming Indian-style décor. As soon as I settled in, I received a surprise welcome drink, a delicious fruit cocktail delivered right to the room. A thoughtful touch!

The room was well-equipped with a comfortable double-size bed, daily complimentary bottled water, individual air-conditioning control, a small sofa with a table, an electronic scale, a large flat-screen TV, a mini fridge, an electric kettle with free tea and coffee, slippers and a safety deposit box.
The bathroom was just as impressive, with a rainfall shower, plenty of free amenities (comb, toothbrush, shaving kit, etc.), a hair dryer, a glass partition offering a partial view of the bedroom, which added a modern, playful design element.
Wi-Fi was free and fast enough for browsing, streaming, and light work.
The 24-hour front desk staff were friendly and quick to help whenever needed.
Dining & Restaurant
Too tired to dine out? RTV offers room service. However, I opted to eat at their on-site restaurant located at the back of the property.
The menu is a mix of Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and even pizza. It’s open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is very large, and from what I understood, they also host weddings, parties, and events, especially on weekends, so it can occasionally get a bit noisy.
Atmosphere & Entertainment
The hotel embraces a village-themed Rajasthani aesthetic, with camel carts, swings, and lush lawns that create a festive and charming atmosphere.
There’s a large banquet lawn and a kids’ play area, making it a popular spot for weddings, corporate functions, and family gatherings.
Service & Staff
From housekeeping to reception, the staff were consistently courteous, professional, and eager to assist. I felt warmly welcomed throughout my stay.
Final Thoughts
Rajwadu The Village Hotel offers a unique and comfortable stay in Jamnagar, combining modern amenities with traditional flair. Ideal for business travelers, families, or anyone passing through Gujarat looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
