I spent a long weekend in Singapore and chose the Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection, a 4-star hotel, mainly for its location and for the good deal I found on Trip.com.
Booking.com and Agoda had similar offers, but Trip.com gave me the best option. For my flight, I also booked it via Trip.com, they had the most attractive price.

Location & Surroundings
Although the hotel is located on the W Coast Highway, it’s surprisingly quiet. A taxi from the airport takes only 20–25 minutes, and the famous Marina Bay Sands is about a 10-minute ride away, which made the location very practical. Just behind the hotel, only a 10-minute walk, you’ll find the Mount Faber Park, a great spot for walkers and trekkers who enjoy peaceful green surroundings.
The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which is very convenient for getting around. On the left side, there’s even a 24/7 gas station where you can grab snacks, drinks, or small essentials. On the right, at the bus/delivery parking, there are two vending machines, including one that makes fresh orange juice, both accept Visa and other cards.

Check-in & Lobby
I had booked a Superior Double Room, but when I arrived around 1pm, I was told that check-in was strictly from 3pm. Unfortunately, early check-in wasn’t possible, so I left my luggage at reception and headed into town.
The lobby itself is nicely decorated with a touch of art style. It houses the reception, a restaurant (where breakfast is served), and the bar.

The Room
The long, dimly lit corridor leads to the rooms. The air conditioning there is quite noisy, but once inside the room, everything is perfectly quiet.

The room wasn’t large, but the space was well used. The double-size bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the tiny desk and the plenty of sockets, both 230V plugs and USB-A/USB-C charging ports scattered around the room.

My room faced the park side, overlooking an empty parking lot, but it was extremely quiet. The bathroom area was compact: a small toilet, a rain shower, and the sink cleverly placed in the room itself with a large mirror.
Other room features included:
- Kettle with free tea/coffee
- Mini fridge
- Safe
- Hair dryer
- 2 complimentary dental kits
One thing to note: there are no bottled waters in the room. Instead, there’s a Premium filtered water tap, which was very practical and eco-friendly.
Dining & Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 7am to 11am and includes a large buffet with both Asian and Western dishes, plus fresh fruit and pastries. There’s seating both indoors and outdoors on the terrace. The food was delicious, but the tables do fill up quickly, so it’s better to come earlier.

The hotel also has a restaurant and room service, but I didn’t get to try them since they close at 8:30pm, even on weekends, a little too early for my taste. A shame, since the menu looked quite appealing.

Facilities
On the top floor, there’s a long swimming pool open from 7am to 9pm, with free clean towels available. It’s a relaxing spot to unwind.
For TV, the selection is limited to a few local channels, so not much entertainment in-room. But it’s a Smart TV and I guess it offers other possibilities that I didn’t explore.
Nearby Attractions
Besides the Mount Faber Park just behind the hotel, most of the main attractions are downtown. I highly recommend visiting:
- Mount Faber Park

- Marina Bay Sands
- Merlion Park
- Gardens by the Bay
- Chinatown
- Little India
- And before you leave, don’t forget to visit Jewel Changi Airport

The evening light and sound shows at Marina Bay are absolutely worth seeing, I’d say don’t miss them.
Conclusion
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection. The location, comfort, and facilities made it a great choice for a city trip. Despite the strict check-in time and early restaurant closure, the positives clearly outweighed the negatives.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone planning a stay in Singapore.
