A Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur
I was visiting Kuala Lumpur and, as always, I was looking for a nice and comfortable hotel with a good breakfast buffet, located downtown and at a reasonable price. Kuala Lumpur is a very big city, with a huge and sometimes overwhelming choice of hotels. After a long search, I found the Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, which had many very good reviews and matched all my criteria.
This hotel is available on Agoda, Trip.com, and Booking.com, but the last one had the best offer.

Location & Accessibility
Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur is located in a lively area, just in front of the sky train, at 2-minute walk from Bukit Nanas station, and about a 5–10 minute walk from the famous Petronas Twin Towers.
I booked a Deluxe King Room on the 9th floor, with a view over the pool and towards the Twin Towers.

Reception & Facilities
The reception staff were very professional, fast, and helpful. Open 24/7, there is always someone available if you need assistance. The concierge team is also present and very helpful.

In the lobby, you’ll find the main restaurant where breakfast is served, a nice coffee shop bar lounge open until late with live music, conference rooms, and direct access to the Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur, which also offers food and live music.
On the first floor, there is a gallery with a few stores, jewelry, watches, a beauty center, hair salon, spa, tailor, and more, as well as a Japanese restaurant. From this floor, you can also access the parking, gym, swimming pool, sauna, and an outdoor coffee/restaurant area.
The Room
No disappointment here, the room was exactly as described on the booking platform. It was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable.
From the window, there was a view of the swimming pool, many tall buildings, and even the top of the Twin Towers. That said, I didn’t book the room for the view.

The king-size bed definitely kept its promise, large and very comfortable. Nights were extremely quiet.
The room doesn’t look particularly modern, but it offers plenty of amenities: an iron and ironing board, a safe, disposable slippers, a mini fridge, a kettle with free coffee and tea, two complimentary bottles of water daily, a smart TV, free WiFi, and wall sockets with USB ports, very practical for charging devices.
The bathroom was well-equipped with a large rain shower, toilet, and plenty of complimentary amenities.
Breakfast
For me, this is the highlight of the hotel.

The buffet is extensive, offering a wide variety of Asian, Indian, Malaysian, and Western dishes. There are juices, fresh fruits, an egg station, pastries, everything you need. Tables are clean and well organized, and you don’t have to worry about losing your seat while getting food, thanks to a simple “Available/Occupied” marker system on each table.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try the hotel’s other restaurants, but their menus looked attractive and reasonably priced. Room service is also available.
Pool & Gym
Located on the first floor, both are clean, modern, and very inviting.

The fitness room is large, well-equipped with modern machines, air-conditioned, and offers free water and towels, perfect to stay in shape. The treadmills even face the pool.
The swimming pool is beautiful and fairly deep, surrounded by chairs, tables, and loungers, with free towels available. There’s also access to a sauna and steam room, open from 7 am to 7 pm.

Due to the surrounding tall buildings, the pool only gets sun for a short time in the morning, but the area remains a very pleasant place to relax.
Surroundings
There’s a lot to explore within walking distance. The Hard Rock Cafe is right next to the lobby, and nearby you’ll find myNEWS grocery store, a small 7-Eleven, and within 100 meters, places like McDonald’s, Subway, Gravy Baby and other restaurants.
It takes about 5–10 minutes to walk to the Petronas Twin Towers. In the evening, there’s a light and water show in the park behind the towers at 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm. It attracts many people, although in my opinion it’s not particularly impressive, just water jets with colorful lights. The illuminated skyline of the surrounding buildings is actually more beautiful and atmospheric.
During the day, the nearby malls are open, offering shopping opportunities and access to a pleasant park. To explore further, Grab is available, but you can also easily access the sky train from the hotel which is very practical and faster because the traffic in Kuala Lumpur can be terrible.
Final Thoughts
I can confirm all the positive reviews found online, you won’t be disappointed with this hotel. I spent a few nights there and enjoyed it so much that I even extended my stay after a short trip to Melaka in the south of Kuala Lumpur.
I also recommend visiting Melaka, you can check out my separate review where I explain how to get there, what to see, and which hotel I chose.
