A Great Value Hotel in the Heart of Ho Chi Minh City
My Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)
- Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Comfort: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Breakfast: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Value for Money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
During my recent trip to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), I was looking for what I always try to find when I travel: an affordable, comfortable, and well-located hotel.
After comparing several booking platforms, I found a great deal on Booking.com, including breakfast. A similar offer was also available on Trip.com.
After spending several nights at the Adora Mira Hotel, here is my complete review.
Getting There from the Airport
The hotel is located approximately 30 minutes from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN), depending on traffic. Taking a Grab is the easiest option.
My Recommendation: Use the Fast Track Service
If you’re flying into Vietnam, I highly recommend booking a Fast Track immigration service.
Immigration queues at Vietnamese airports can be very long, and waiting one to two hours is not uncommon during busy periods.
For around USD 30, I always book the Fast Track service. An airport representative meets me before immigration and escorts me through the priority lane. Instead of waiting for hours, I’m usually through immigration in about 15 minutes.
The service is reliable and I highly recommend it:

They have several services, they answer fast to email and messages, nothing to complain about it. Just remember to look at their logo because in Vietnam it’s forbidden to display people’s name inside the airport:

Location
One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its excellent location.
The Adora Mira Hotel is situated in the city centre, just a short walk from the Saigon River. Most of Ho Chi Minh City’s main attractions can be reached within 5 to 10 minutes on foot.
Even though it’s in the city center, it’s tucked away on a quiet dead-end street, far from the busy and noisy traffic.
There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and local shops nearby, making it a great base for exploring the city.
Check-in Experience
Before my arrival, the hotel contacted me several times through Booking.com’s messaging system with clear instructions about the check-in process.
Check-in was quick and efficient, and the reception staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional.

The Room
I booked a Premium Double Bed Window Room and it was located on the 6th floor.
Although it wasn’t particularly large, it was modern, quiet, comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
The double-size bed is actually made up of two twin beds pushed together, so you can slightly feel the join between the mattresses. However, I still found the bed comfortable, and the pillows were excellent.

The room also includes:
- Flat-screen TV
- Mini refrigerator
- Two complimentary bottles of water replaced daily
- Tea and coffee-making facilities
- Electric kettle
- Safety deposit box
- Iron and ironing board
- An umbrella
- Bathrobes
- Slippers
- Hairdryer
- Individual air conditioning
- DON’T DISTUB / MAKE UP buttons

And on my arrival day there were 2 bananas and Vietnamese biscuits. It was a nice welcome touch.

The view had nothing spectacular, just some buildings as you can see on the video at the end of this review.
As mentioned at the beginning of this review, the location of the hotel is very quiet as well as the room.
Bathroom
The bathroom is modern and very clean.
It features a spacious walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head, which is always a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing.
A large glass wall separates the shower from the bedroom, with a curtain that can be closed for added privacy.
Complimentary amenities include:
- Dental kits
- Shaving kit
- Shampoo
- Shower gel
- Comb
- Other useful toiletries

Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay, and both the room and bathroom were kept spotless.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served on the first floor in buffet style.
The selection is extensive and caters to both international guests and those wanting to try Vietnamese cuisine.
The buffet includes:
- Fresh local fruits
- Fruit juices
- Coffee machine
- Teas
- Cereals
- Pastries
- Vietnamese noodle soups
- Eggs cooked to order (fried, boiled, or omelettes)
- A variety of hot dishes
Everything was fresh, regularly replenished, of very good quality and with helpful and nice staff ensuring everything goes well.

Restaurant
The hotel’s main restaurant, located on the first floor, serves both breakfast and dinner in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to its generous breakfast buffet, the restaurant offers a varied menu featuring traditional Vietnamese specialties alongside international favorites. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the staff are friendly, attentive, and always happy to help.
For a different dining experience, the hotel also features a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 11th floor, next to the swimming pool. Open throughout the day until late in the evening, it is the perfect place to enjoy lunch, light snacks, refreshing drinks, or cocktails. Guests can choose to dine in the stylish, air-conditioned indoor restaurant or on the rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful views of the river and Ho Chi Minh City’s illuminated skyline. Poolside service is also available if you prefer to relax by the water.
Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch between sightseeing, sunset cocktails with a view, or a relaxing dinner after a day exploring Ho Chi Minh City, the hotel’s restaurants provide convenient and enjoyable dining options without ever having to leave the property.
Rooftop Pool, Gym and Bar
The hotel’s swimming pool is located on the 11th floor, offering a pleasant place to relax above the busy streets of the city.
The pool itself is relatively small and equipped with just three sun loungers, a small sofa and a couple of chairs, although complimentary towels are provided for guests.
While the pool is not the hotel’s main highlight, it is still a refreshing spot to cool off after a day of exploring Ho Chi Minh City.
The only real downside is that the hotel’s designated smoking area is located beside the pool. If you’re hoping to relax with a drink, browse social media, or get some work done on your laptop, you’ll likely encounter guests coming to smoke. For non-smokers, cigarette smoke can detract from what would otherwise be a peaceful and enjoyable environment.
Next to the pool is a small fitness room equipped with a few exercise machines, along with complimentary towels and drinking water.
The rooftop also features the Adora Mira Sky, a cosy bar and restaurant where you can enjoy dinner or a drink while taking in panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City’s illuminated skyline. It’s especially enjoyable in the evening even if it’s surrounded by taller buildings.

Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
During my stay, the internet connection was fast, reliable, and perfectly suitable for both work and streaming.
Final Verdict
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Adora Mira Hotel.
Its biggest strengths are:
- Excellent value for money
- Prime central and quiet location
- Modern and very clean rooms
- Friendly and professional staff
- Excellent breakfast buffet
The swimming pool is quite small, but this is only a minor drawback considering everything else the hotel offers.
If I return to Ho Chi Minh City, I would happily stay here again.
I highly recommend the Adora Mira Hotel to anyone looking for a modern, comfortable, well-located hotel that offers excellent value for money in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
